What We Do
NeuroEducate has three aims: research, education, and making tools. We conduct research on the brain, we share knowledge about how to make our brains better, and we build and disseminate tools that help us learn more about how our brains work - and that help us upgrade ourselves.
The tool-building part of our initiative was started by Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and UC-Berkeley graduates whose mission was to enhance learning and mental performance. We wanted to share the excitement of maker culture and neuroscience with the broader community. We are on a mission to understand how our individual memory, attention, and learning systems work and what lifestyle improvements work best for each of us. We run experiments and build devices on the cheap and through do-it-yourself neuroscience projects (e.g., learning how to build a neuro-stimulating device in an afternoon). We are open to people from all backgrounds who are curious and eager to contribute their own data or who want to learn, build, and help others.
Partners, Advisors, and Contributors
We have been lucky to have contributions and support from the following individuals and organizations: March for Science, Sapien Labs, Muse, Muse Monitor, Lincoln Street Studios. Our advisors have been generous with their time and ideas and include individuals from the following organizations: Stanford Medical School, Harvard University, UCSF, Quantified Mind, and Udacity. Our founder is Elizabeth Ricker.

Do I have to be a neuroscientist or an engineer to come to neuro-hacking sessions?
No! We host a range from novice to expert. If you are a curious and generous person interested in sharing your knowledge and skill or you just want to learn as much as you can from others, you are welcome. Bring questions, bring news clippings, bring your curiosity. Get ready for productive fun.
